**UPDATE**
Great news ... Lolo is scheduled for surgery on June 4th! The costs for the facility and the anesthesiologist are going to cost her approximately $9400 and will be due the day of her surgery. Her surgeon, Dr. Gerbino, is a volunteer/sponsor of MBDD and will be offering his services at a discounted rate to be billed later.
Second, Lolo has filed a claim with the WFTDA who will hopefully reimburse her for additional costs once she satisfies the $7500 deductible. Although we aren't sure yet what the surgeon fees are and what the bills will be for her initial ER visit and future physical therapy, Lolo's primary focus right now is raising enough money to hit her $7500 deductible and be able to pay for the upfront fees for the facility and anesthesiologist.
We may have an update on the surgeon fees before her surgery next week but we are hoping that the WFTDA will reimburse her for their maximum of $10,000 after her deductible and we are optimistic that the remainder will be covered by that.
Lolo is extremely grateful for all the support and well wishes she has received thus far and she can't wait to be back at full strength ASAP!

LoLo broke her ankle on Thursday, 5/24/19, while volunteering as a referee for the Santa Cruz Derby Girls. She doesn't have insurance, and needs to pay upfront to have the surgery. Current quotes for this type of surgery are coming in at $20,000. Let's help her with this unexpected cost. Lolo doesn't qualify for Medical, and Covered California only allows you to enroll once a year unless there's a qualifying event... a broken ankle sadly doesn't qualfiy. We are actively searching for resources to help reduce the cost. Please help in any way you can. Thank you!
