Help Build A Home

Donation protected
The Project: The Village Coalition is taking on a project to provide a pod home for a women named Enzel who could potentially become homeless. She is living in an RV due to a past violent relationship but the RV needs to be removed from the property it is on. However, she has been permitted to construct a pod home in its place. The Village Coalition is seeking helping with the funding of this project for the cost of materials and labor. Why are we involved: We are still in the midst of a housing crisis and many of our community members and neighbors are being forced onto the streets from lack of resources. Housing insecurity is often the result of a lack of support for survivors of domestic violence, folks grappling with health issues including mental wellness and other forms of systemic violence. We feel that it is our duty to bridge the housing divide and extend support to our more vulnerable houseless and housing insecure neighbors.  Please consider donating to this wonderful cause. No amount is too little or too much. Every bit counts. It does, after all, take a village. Thank you!  About Village Coalition: The Village Coalition supports existing villages, establishes new ones, and educates the public and policymakers on issues related to houselessness. We are a network of self-governed tiny-home villages, architects, builders, artists, community organizers, faith congregations, direct service providers, advocates, local businesses, activists, and local government partners working to reduce houselessness in the Portland-metropolitan area.
