Hate is on the rise - but people can change. We help them on their journey out of hate groups and gangs back into society. One part of our "EXIT" program is our "Erasing The Hate" tattoo cover up campaign where we team up with tattoo parlors across the country to cover up racist, hate and gang tattoos for free. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/feb/05/sickside-tattoo-studio-erase-the-hate-white-supremacist-tattoo-cover-ups
Even though the tattoo artists donate their time and do not charge for their work, they only can serve campaign requests during the week and only a certain amount of time. We would like to increase this. The plan is too have at least one tattoo studio per state shop serving the campaign and also to get a tattoo later removal device for tattoos that can't easily be covered up.
There's many expenses and moving parts in our EXIT program including relocating to get away from critical locations, safe havens etc. We need your help to keep this going on the long run. Please donate for the EXIT program and the "Erasing the Hate" campaign.
Background Story: In 2017 I approached my friends at Sickside Tattoo Studio in Horn Lake, MS, just 20 minutes away from downtown Memphis, with an idea that I had in my mind for quiet some time. Since Shop Manager Drew Darby owner Jack Flores both knew about my past (I'm a former White Supremacist myself https://youtu.be/wnNeH1aVHCM
) and how I felt about getting the ink removed that was connected to my own past, they both immediately agreed to join my campaign. Soon, other tattoo parlors have joined the campaign and now offer to cover up racist and gang related tattoos for free.
