Our dad, Steve Farrington, whom most of you know as Coach , was in a high speed car accident on Monday, May 6th in the afternoon. Thankfully, he was being followed by a retired doctor and paramedic, and also a sheriff was coming the opposite direction. They were able to give him CPR and call a helicopter to take him to the UMC Trauma Center. (800 Hope Pl., Las Vegas, Nevada 89106)
The main concern is that Steve has suffered a serious brain injury known as Diffuse Axonal Injury. He is unconscious and breathing through a ventilator, but he has moved all of his extremities on his own. It has been 48 hours since the accident and although this is a positive sign, this is a serious injury and a lot of unknowns remain. He has a long battle in front of him; Best case scenario, we stay a couple of months in Vegas, and if he is able to regain consciousness and breathe on his own, at that point we will be able to relocate him to a Neurological Center located in Phoenix, Az. The Neurosurgeon and Main doctor believe he is in there and fighting, and we have seen signs of life.
Our dad has a long battle in front him and we all know what type of fighter he is. We will be using this page to give updates, since it is taxing to update hundreds-thousands of people individually. Thank you so much to the friends, family, players, coaches, and everyone that has been a part of our lives. If you can afford to assist us (Tyler and Brady) we are temporarily living in Vegas to spend as much time with him as possible. If you cannot, do not worry, every prayer will help us in this battle as well.

** I, Brady Farrington, the son of Steve Farrington, am the manager of this GoFundMe account. I manage all of Steve Farrington’s personal finances. We will be withdrawing these funds to my personal savings account. They will be set aside to pay for our temporary accommodations in Las Vegas over the coming months and also to pay towards all of Steve’s upcoming medical costs. Specifically relocation costs, long term care costs, and insurance deductibles, as well as Steve’s personal bills that are not accounted for. Thanks again for all of the support!!!
