Soldier & Wife In Need After House Fire

Donation protected
Early Friday morning, my brother-in-law, Brandon, and his wife, Jessica, received a call from the Sheriff’s department in their town. Their home was completely lost to a fire, and they were working to put out the flames. Brandon and Jess had come home to visit the previous afternoon and weren’t home at the time of the fire. They brought their two dogs with them, but their three cats Moose, Mia, and Tig were in the house. There’s little chance that the kitties survived the fire, but we haven’t given up hope, and close friends are continuing to search for them.
Brandon is a Soldier in the United States Army, having served three tours in Iraq. He is currently a Sergeant First Class stationed in Fort Benning, GA with almost fifteen years of service.
As of this morning, the wood remaining in the house was still burning and it is a complete loss. Though the cause of the fire has yet to be determined, we do know Brandon and Jess are left with only the bags they packed to come spend the weekend with us.
We are thankful they were here with us, we are thankful for friends in Pittsview who were able to be there sooner while Brandon traveled back, and we are most thankful for everyone’s outpouring of love the past couple of days as we’ve all come together to do what we can to help Brandon and Jess deal with such a loss. Please, if you’re able, help us help them start over. No amount of money can replace their beloved cats or cherished possessions, but all donations will go directly to Brandon and Jessica to help them begin rebuilding their lives.
