Dear friends & family of Laura Kropp, We cannot direct the wind but we can adjust our sails.Most of you are aware that Laura has been bravely and fiercely battling cancer for 2 years. Over time, the medical treatments designed to cure her have also raged havoc in her tired body. A panel of medical professionals have now determined that Laura’s cancer is no longer responsive to treatments. It is now time to stop treating her tired body and, instead, allow Laura to enjoy the remainder of her life in the comforts of her home. Laura will no longer be confined to a hospital bed. She will undergo no further painful treatments. Laura is now receiving hospice care at home and will be made comfortable as much as possible. Both Ross and Laura, along with their children, agree with the decision to start hospice. The family remains committed to live their richest life together for every moment Laura has left. While this was initially an incredibly difficult decision, they choose to be thankful for this time to say farewell. Throughout Laura’s diagnosis and treatment journey, this strong family has gained an even deeper appreciation for each other. Their bond is impenetrable.As you can imagine, quality hospice care brings with it unexpected costs. Ross is choosing to to spend everyday with his beautiful wife and family and will not be working or earning an income during this time. Friends, the Kropp family is in need of our help. A Go Fund Me fundraising effort has been created to help ease some of the financial burden for this well deserving family who have endured so much.
