Molly Tangled With a Fisher In Maine

We are a 501(c)3 Non-Profit TNR Spay Neuter Program, Cat Coalition of Western Maine, we go all over the State of Maine for feral cats, we trap, Spay and Neuter (right on site) and release, this is by far one of the worst cases we have seen thus far and the cat live, we really need help to save her life, we figured she fought off the Fisher, got herself back home after 9 days, she deserves us to fight for her life Some graphic pictures below Our night last night was less then exciting, we got a call from a woman in Waterford where we had trapped and Spayed/Neutered, and Released about 4 years ago Her feral cat showed up on her mother’s front porch after 9 days of being gone, mind you all, this woman had just lost her mother as well, so I went out with Beverley Soutter in the pouring rain last night to trap this cat, we got there and Holly was on the porchI went one way and Bev went the other way to corner her, I had the net, (with her being injured we figured she was not going to fight us to much, were we wrong) she slipped thru the both of us and ran down towards the road, over the stone wall embankment, we ran down the drive way to see if we could find her after some much searching, raining like crazy, we were soaked, we saw her trying to get in one of the rock crevasses, Bev quickly dove on her wrapped her in a blanket and we quickly got her into the house, where we noticed her leg was gone and she was pretty beat upWhat got us the most in our hearts was she looked great, her eyes were clear, she ate, she growled at us to let us know she was still in charge we got her to the vets and we are now waiting for the vet to call us with an update We could have had her euthanized, but her spirit was still there behind her pain and her wounds, we are definitely going to try to save herShe fought off a Fisher and she survived, this in its own told me, she is a fighter, a true survivor to be gone 9 days and get herself back home, Cat Coalition is going to see this girl through this ordealI will update as soon as I get a call from the vets ~Stephanie
