Sherri Mugford Medical Expenses

On Thursday, April 11th Sherri went in to Urgent Care. She had not felt well for a little while but now she was experiencing a lot more symptoms and pain in her abdominal area. They sent her on to the Emergency Room. After several hours of waiting for answers and a CT Scan they brought us into a room and the ER doctor informed us that she had a large mass on her Ovary which he believed to be Ovarian Cancer and that he was not feeling good about it. That news really threw us and we sat in silence for a while, we cried and then we prayed. An appointment was set up for the next day to see the oncologist. It felt like the longest 24 hours, lots of worrying but lots of praying. On Friday afternoon the oncologist came in and told us that the mass is about 4 inches long and pretty good size. He told us that all of the bloodwork looks good to him so he feels that while there is a chance of cancer he believes he can remove everything and and the prognosis is good. While we do not know yet what the outcome will be surgery is scheduled for this Thursday, April 18th. While we know that there is a long road ahead, we believe prayers are being answered. With all of this comes the stress of finances. Mike and Sherri do not have good health insurance as a pastor so the added stress of the ER visit, the surgery and any treatment after will cause great hardship. For those that know Sherri you know she is a woman of great faith. She is strong, she is kind, caring and would do anyone for another person in need. If you feel blessed by Sherri and could support her and Mike through this by prayer and/or financially it would be appreciated and you would be blessed.
