New Furnace for Craig and Nancy!

On behalf of Nancy, I am overwhelmed to let you know that our furnace need of $13,000 has been met beyond our wildest expectations.
I cannot thank God enough for the generosity of so many friends who have given.
As soon as we can, we will thank each one individually, but for now I want to say a collective THANK YOU to everyone. We are so grateful.
I am currently at a Navigators EDGE Corps preview conference (www.edgecorps.com) in Sturbridge Massachusetts with 73 students and staff from the Northeast. 58 college juniors & seniors & recent grads along with 15 staff exploring God's calling on our lives. Some of the students are praying about serving as short staff with the Navigators after graduation. All are praying about God's direction.
Today's Bible study was entitled TRUSTING GOD where we looked at various passages on God's provision, including the story of Gideon (Judges 7) and the story of the of the disciples in the boat in (Mark 4) as they faced a raging storm.
Today's provision for our furnace is a living reminder of God's care for his people, despite seemingly insurmountable obstacles.
Nancy and I have been on staff with the Navigators for 32 years. God has brought us through many trials and challenges with constant provision. This is yet another example.

p.s. despite the cold, last night was pretty normal in our house. Josh & Dave who live with us long term. Philip, a Dartmouth alum who lives with us short term as he explores his next career option. Megan, a BU freshmen who needed to crash at our place so that I could take her to the airport at 5:30 this morning. Shayan and Liz, Dartmouth alums who flew in from Memphis for the weekend. A wonderful pancake breakfast together before I left for this conference. It was a chilly night, but the house is warm with the love of Christ. What joy!!!
Philippians 4:19 And our God will supply all our needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

FRIDAY NIGHT, NOV 16
Dear friends,
As you may be aware, we use our 5 BR house as a ministry home with a constant flow of short term guests & long term residents. We hope to always be able to do so.
Although we have anticipated the need for awhile, our "furnace fund" has depleted to help with other expenses. We have little in reserve.
As we move forward with a trusted plumber to convert from oil to gas, due to the nature of our house and some unavoidable big ticket expenses, we face a replacement cost of $13,000.
We are always reluctant to share personal needs outside of our approved ministry budget as Navigators staff, but in order to move forward we thought we should mention this to others.
