Justin Wu Memorial Fund

Donation protected

On October 30, 2012 the son of one of my dear friends, fifteen year old Justin Wu lost his ongoing battle with cancer.  It was October 27, 2011, nearly one year ago to the day when Justin was initially diagnosed with cancer (a mixed germ cell brain tumor).  Since then Justin has been undergoing chemo and treatment on a regular basis; throughout this whole battle Justin was always very optimistic with a smile on his face and never planned on giving up this fight.  The treatment seemed to be going fairly well until July 18, 2012 when things took a terrible turn for the worse.  After reviewing an MRI from that day the Doctor's then discovered that the tumors have spread to his neck and spine.  It had now transformed to Rhabdomyosarcoma, an incredibly rare form of cancer that only accounts for merely 3% of all childhood cancers.  The Doctors here in Las Vegas then told Justin's parents, Kenton and Julie that there was nothing else they could do to treat his tumor and gave Justin one month to live.  Being the amazing and strong willed parents that they are, Kenton and Julie immediately wanted a second opinion and had him taken to CHLA (Children's Hospital Los Angeles) where Justin received treatment.  Justin was in critical condition and hospitalized for the next three months.

At that point Kenton and Julie were both out of work for nearly three months, being the loving parents that they are neither of them wanted to leave Justin's side all the way up until the day of his passing.  But due to the fact that they had no income whatsoever for those three months, they are now facing a terrible financial hardship with all of the funeral costs and absurd medical bills.  They have definitely tapped out the little savings they had as well as their 401K's and are in a true time of need.  This family has endured enough pain and loss at this point so whatever you are capable of contributing would be greatly appreciated.

One personal favor that I ask, is that you take three minutes of your day and post this link on your Facebook,Twitter, etc. http://www.gofundme.com/1i9j68  If everyone follows suite and passes this link on, I know we will hit our goal in no time!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!!
