Merkle Remote Hurricane Sandy Appeal

When Hurricane Sandy hit the East Coast some of our Merkle friends & colleagues were severely impacted, particularly those living in New York and New Jersey.  We are reaching out to you today as part of the Merkle remote team to ask for help to support our colleagues who really need help.

One of our TSG employees, Vlad Barinov who lives on Staten Island with his wife and daughter lost just about everything they owned as their house was flooded under 8 feet of water.  The house has no power so it is difficult to get contractors in to begin the process of repairs yet throughout all this Vlad has managed somehow to continue work using Lync and phone. He hasn't asked for anything and says he's fine but we know he isn't.  He can't be.  Merkle wants to help him and others impacted in a big way and that is where you come in.

We're organizing a fundraiser for the All Remote team to help Vlad and others like him but I want to have a bit of fun at the same time.  The goal is to get as much raised as we can and the funds collected into the hands of those who need them by Thanksgiving (since Thanksgiving is not big here in the UK then I trust you know how urgent this is!). 

What are we doing?

The 6 London office guys will compete in a Mr. Mustache competition to see who can grow the best Mustache (or facial hair "“ creativity encouraged) in this Movember month but by Thanksgiving. Your job is to simply predict a winner! All correct predictions will enter a draw and, most exciting of all, the winner will receive a Mystery Prize (donated by me)! (Completely impartial judging will be carried out by the London office girls on Wednesday 21st Nov:all bungs and backhanders in the name of the appeal accepted).
