Character-ed entertainment for kids

Donation protected

Stages of Imagination is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) theater company in the Philadelphia area. Your donations are tax-deductible. Since 1990 we have produced and performed original musical plays based on character education themes like cooperation, respect, tolerance, anti-bullying, etc. for approximately 300,000 kids 3 - 11 years old for class trips, school assemblies and the public. Schools that can't afford the (cheap) advertised ticket price of $6.50 per child can pay what they are able ($2.00, $1.00 or whatever they can). Production costs always exceed income because even the $6.50 ticket price doesn't cover costs. We get help from the PA Council on the Arts, the Ursula Michel Uni-Lead Trust and the Ethel Sergeant Clark Smith Memorial Fund and The Connelly Foundation. Our 1991 van with 236,000 miles on it is nickel and diming us and I'm afraid we'll breakdown on the way to a show going 55 mph on I95!! We need a "new" used work van to get our sets, costumes etc. to theaters and schools where we perform. Any money left over will be used to help the schools where kids can't afford the ticket price to come to show, enjoy the story, music and laughs and learn from the character-ed values.
