T-Cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (for Jay Jones)

Hey Everyone!
By now you may have heard that our dear friend Jay Jones was diagnosed with T-Cell Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a rare form of cancer. I immediately, like most of you, was shocked and speechless with this unfortunate news. Nellie and I wanted to do something special for Jay to show him that we are all truly there for him and will support him through this so we are hosting a bowling fundraiser at AMF Waldorf Lanes on Saturday, Nov 17 from 12:30 to 3:30. Nellie and I have been working non-stop to make this a huge success and we truly need your help in order for this turnout to be an unforgettable day in Jay's life. I want him to be speechless when he walks through those doors and sees all his family and friends there to love and support him. I have reserved 8 lanes for this day anticipating that Jay has touched at least that many lives as he has my own :)
Here is the itinerary as of today:
12:30 - 1:00 - check-in / shoes & lane assignment
1:00 - 3:00 - bowl bowl bowl!
3:00 - 3:30 - raffles & 50/50
Fundraiser Tickets are $20 for each bowler/participant - includes shoes; covers costs for event and $12.50 of that will go to Jay
Raffles - free raffles will be held after bowling. Everyone that participates gets a ticket. AMF is donating family fun packs of bowling plus other prizes/certificates that Nellie and I are able to obtain up until the event will be up for grabs. Feel free to donate anything!
50/50 - I will also hold a 50/50 ticket drawing - 50% to Jay, 50% to the winner. Tickets will be sold at the start of the event.
Wrist Bands - I have also ordered custom wrist bands to show your support for Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma - they will be $2 / ea.
I am going to try and get Outback Steakhouse to sponsor the event meaning they will pick up the costs of the event and/or maybe even provide food. If this happens, then the fundraiser ticket costs will lower to $15/each seeing as costs will be covered.
We will post updates to this event as they occur. Ticket purchases are preferred BEFORE the event as I have to confirm the number of people attending 2 days prior. Nellie will accept all cash orders and I will accept all credit cards through paypal at [email redacted]
Nellie will be distributing the tickets before and at the event. These may be done electronically or be held on 'will-call' at the bowling alley - whichever your preference.
Can't make the date? You can still donate to Jay's cause on this website or even find a bowler who is attending and pledge say 10 cents per pin of his/her highest game. There is always a way to show your love & support!!!
