Medical and future home

I thought fighting in Iraq would be the hardest thing I had ever done, I thought having massive surgery to battle my cancer was one of the hardest things I have ever done. But now with a heavy heart I have come to this.

I am not very good at asking for help. I am a humble man who has fallen on very rough times. I am now a stage 3 cancer survivor, or at least almost there. Just a little over a six weeks ago I had 26 lymph nodes and my thyroid removed, due to papillary thyroid carcinoma. I begin Radiation therapy in the upcoming week. The two main reason for writing this are; I have approximately 1 year of insurance left, I'm a combat veteran so the veteran administration will help with some issues but not everything. As well as the fact due to life circumstances I need to move. Ultimately I'd like buy a home with a loan from the Veterans Administration, but it requires start up costs and many other expenses. If I had the means I would love to not have to do this. But being where I am in this life I could really use any support and help available. Even if all you do is read this.
