Send Kahli to India with her middle school

Hi, this is Ava.   I posted this page for my 12 year old niece.

My name is Kahli Hyatt. I am 12 years old and a sixth grader at T.R Paul Academy of Arts and Knowledge. I am very excited that our school is involved in the India exchange program this year and I have a chance to go.

 

Here is the essay I wrote that got me picked to go.

 Going to a different country is an amazing experience that I never thought I could have.  If I am picked to go to India, I will be friendly, helpful and will make our school feel proud they picked me. Learning about their schools, culture and food will be like learning through Paragon at school but hands on in India and that is so exciting for me.

 

I believe I have the proper maturity level to travel to India. As the oldest child in my family I am depended on to be a good role model and to help my brother and cousins behave the right way. With having this experience, I can help by leading other students to behave, listen and be a team while in India.  While in India, I will also show our school traits to represent our school.

 

I am also Babysitter certified which entails First Aid, Behavior Management, Child and Infant CPR, Choking Child and Infant Rescue, and Injury Prevention. If any situation happened in India where myself or other students were injured I would stay calm and know what to do to help. If my friends were doing things that might cause an accident, then I would do my best to encourage them to make better choices.

 

 I plan to do a lot of things to help raise money for this trip to India. My mother and family do not have the money to pay for this trip. I plan to ask companies if they would be interested in funding our school. I will help with bake sales because I LOVE to bake. I can perform in a concert because I LOVE music and playing the electric guitar.  I can recycle for money because it helps the environment, too.  I will and save all my money from chores and babysitting to help fund this trip for the middle schoolers. And most of all, I will do my best to be involved in any event the school has to raise the money.
