Team Piper

28 Jan 13: Tomorrow is the BIG day! We have been waiting for this DAY since October. We met with the surgeon this morning and went over everything in detail. We need more prayers than ever. Please remember lil' Ms. Piper tomorrow as she will be in surgery all day long. I didn't realize it, but the tumor must come out as a whole piece. It is bigger than a fist, bigger than her heart, and dense somewhat like a... softball. We need to remove this MONSTER once and for all. Please pray for Piper's amazing medical team to make all of the right choices and do the best job possible! I have attached an up to date picture of Piper. She is precious, isn't she?! She is a little miracle and I believe GOD has BIG plans for her! Please do not abuse this picture as it was done in the past. I have faith that Piper will be healed and I ask that you all join me and lift her name up over the next couple of days! We BELIEVE!!!!!!! TEAM PIPER!!!!!!!!!!!

Piper is the 4 week old daughter of Randy and Haleigh Wilhide. She was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma-Malignant Tumor.

October 23: Today has been by far the least stressful so far. All they had to do was draw Piper's blood. It was done peacefully through her port this time! YEAHHHH for no more IV's and heel sticks:for now anyway. Piper was able to sleep and relax and be in my arms all day, smiling and acting happy. She gets her MIBG tomorrow so she can get more images done on Thursday and Friday to determine if ...
the MONSTER is in any of her soft tissues, like her liver, spleen, etc. We might know Thursday the results, but more than likely we will get the news on Friday. We will also know her "risk group" (low, medium, high) by Friday. Additionally, we will begin Day 1, cycle 1 of her chemotherapy. So as you can tell FRIDAY is going to be a VERY BIG DAY for TEAM PIPER!
On another note, Piper has gotten so big in just a week (it is hard to think that we have already been in the hospital for a week!) This past week has felt like ONE very long day:never knowing what time it is or what day it is: Her cheeks are starting to fill out and her little legs are starting to get a roll in them. Her hair is getting longer and lighter by the day too. She is up to 9 lbs. 11 oz. Please continue to pray for all of the medical team involved in her day to day care, and all of the other babies and young children that are currently fighting this childhood cancer. The feelings and emotions involved with having your child be diagnosed with cancer is beyond words, just unimaginable, however with the love and support and prayers from everyone makes each day tolerable. My daily devotion was "You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace:" Isaiah 55:12 WE GOT THIS GOD, WE GOT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TEAM PIPER!
