**UPDATE** From The Schueler Family Nathan has received a Miracle today!! The Surgeon has recently spoke to us and advised that against all odds, Nathan has fallen into the .01% of diagnoses that end up NOT cancer after all tests are positive for it. The surgeon has never seen this before in all his years of operating. He has still undergone a major surgery will be in ICU for a day and then stay at JHU for a few more days as of now. He will still need several weeks to heal and be rehabilitated. We want to thank everyone for there prayers and support, whether it was monetary, gifts for the girls, or even just moral support. Without all of you I don\'t believe this outcome would have been possible. We have truly received a Christmas MIRACLE!!! Nathan is still in POSTop and he does not know yet that his tumor was not cancer. Apparently, the mass was Spleen cells that had grown onto the Pancreas and developed into a tumor. This presents itself the same as pancreatic cancer on all tests and scans. His medical bills are still going to be in the thousands of dollars, but we believe with support received, we will be able to cover close to 100% of all medical bills and other related expenses. We will keep all you posted as we hear more information. Right now we are Extremely HAPPY and relieved. He still has a long road ahead of him to heal from this surgery. I know no other way to say it... From now on, My Faith in prayer and god will never be tested again.

Original Diagnosis:

Nathan Schueler
, 27 years of age was recently diagnosed with an extremely rare case of Pancreatic Cancer.  He has a large islet cell tumor on the tail of his pancreas.  Within in 10 days he will be undergoing major surgery to remove 50% of his pancreas, his spleen, and all surrounding lymph nodes.  They then will be able to check the liver and see if the cancer has spread.

Nathan has a fiance, Julie and two wonderful daughters.  They were and still are planning to be married in March 6, 2011.  This news is devastating and could not have come at a worst time, the Christmas Holiday\'s.  Since he will be having surgery he will be out of work for a while, which also means no money coming in.  We are trying to raise money to help with his medical bills, funds to help with his families utility bills, car payment and for gifts for his two girls for Christmas.  Whatever funds are left over, we are going to try and send him and his family to Disney World after his surgery for what will be a much needed break from the everyday stress that goes along with this devastating disease.  Nathan has always wanted to take his daughters to Disney and we would like to make that wish come true for him.

Any Donations will be greatly appreciated by Nathan and all of his family in these trying times.

We will be posting pictures and updating his story throughout this process.

May God Bless Nathan and his family and anyone who can assist him and his family!!
