Hello, friends and potential givers!!
I am a holistic nurse, yoga instructor and bodywork practitioner. Life has brought me the incredible opportunity to open a yoga and wellness center in the very town where I grew up and currently live. Best of all, I am partnering with one of my dearest life-long friends and fellow yoga instructor, who also grew up in this great city.
We will offer classes on the 5 points of yoga: asanas (exercise or postures); proper breathing; meditation & positive thinking; proper eating for good health; and proper relaxation (guided deep relaxation). Early morning, lunchtime and 'happy hour' classes will ensure commuters can take advantage of our services and incorporate wellness practices into their day; and we will offer a class in Spanish at least once a month.
We will also have free demos on meditation & healthy eating; and a gift shop with yoga accessories and wellness items. We especially believe in supporting local businesses and artisans, eco-friendly products not tested on animals, and fair trade items.
We are in line to receive at least 1 small business loan, but with many upfront costs, we need all we can to start off well and capitalize on the upcoming holiday season.
All donors will receive gift certificates in the amount of their donation- to be redeemed by them, transferred to someone else, or gifted to our Give Back Fund, where we offer gift certificates to local non-profit fundraisers and individuals who cannot afford a class or therapy session. You may also choose any combination of these options, i.e. part in a gift certificate and part to the Give Back Fund.
