The Sarah Spector Memorial Fund
Hello friends and family,
On November 18, I will be running in the Philadelphia Half Marathon in honor of my cousin, Sarah Spector. Sarah passed away during a LifeFlight to the Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in the early morning of September 15, 2012, one week after her 14th birthday.
Despite all of the trials that she endured in her brief time with us, Sarah spread joy through her winning smile and her witty sense of humor. She never passed up the opportunity to share and enjoy a good laugh with her family and friends. Sarah enjoyed shopping and spending time with our grandmother (Nanny), board games, and participating in Special Olympics events.
The proceeds donated to Sarah's Memorial Fund will serve to honor her life and memory by further supporting the various organizations that helped to make her life joyous. A lover of butterflies, Sarah's fund will help create a butterfly garden at Blue Mountain Middle School in her memory. Proceeds will also benefit service dog training, so that other children can experience the constant comfort and support that Sarah's service dog, Bella, provided for her.
It is my goal to raise $1,000.00 by race day- November 18. Please join me in honoring the memory of an incredible little girl.
