We have adjusted our goal amount to $5000.

Although we still feel like we need to raise the $10k, we have decided to sell one of our cars, Craigslist some household stuff, and sell our goats. So that will all help us move toward our goal as well.
We also want to give a better breakdown of why and what we need the money for.
We are planning to move some of our furniture and necessary items with a moving company, and are researching pricing for that now, but it looks like it'll be around $2000.
We are also planning on driving from Ohio to Oregon, a 2500 mile trip! With a backseat full of Allie and our 2 dogs, Sadie and Sammy. Fun! Allie is really a great passenger and we are planning to drive 10 hours a day. We are planning on the trip taking about 5-6 days.
We are currently looking for a place to live in SE Portland that will allow our two dogs. We don't need a ton of space and it seems that rent will be somewhere between $850 - $1000/month. It would be great to have as much of the first few months rent raised while we both look for a part time jobs, and while we get settled into the area.
So here's a basic cost breakdown:

"¢ Approx $500 for hotels along the way
"¢ Food along the way.
"¢ First few months rent.
Here's why we're going:
I (Jeff) have been out of work for the better part of 3 years. In December 2011 I sensed a renewed call from God to commit to full-time vocational ministry and have been pursuing that ever since. Through all the searching, applying and research of the area surrounding each church to which I've applied we have felt a special affinity for the Portland area.
I have been wanting to get my parents (especially) and ourselves back out west for some time now to be closer to the rest of family. This move will facilitate that, as well as providing access to two fantastic schools where I can further my education (Multnomah University and Western Seminary).
But, due to the past couple years of lean finances, we are looking for help to make this move a reality. We understand that times are tough for everyone, but any amount that you can spare would be a tremendous help. Additionally, we welcome your prayers as we undertake a major change in the life of our family.
