<div>By day, Mebuyan Pulse will shimmer with <strong>recycled and organic materials</strong>: 5-gallon water jugs, fluorescent plastic bottles, bamboo, palm-leaf forms, and laser-cut panels.

<div>The work takes its name from Mebuyan, a <strong>goddess</strong> from Bagobo mythology in the Philippines: a figure of life and death, <strong>nourishment, protection, and transformation</strong>.

<div>Mebuyan Pulse grows from the bones of <strong>Mebuyan Vessel, our 2022 Burning Man installation</strong>, but this is not a rebuild. It is a major evolution. We are transforming the original structure with a renewed visual language, an 11-foot laser-cut metal ground sphere, an additional 4-ft suspended sphere, two new access points for safer circulation, expanded lighting, and a sound system for timed activations throughout the week.
