On January 31st, 2012 my daughter Vrndavana lost her fiance Tim (Gopinath das) the love of her life, in a tragic car accident. Tim was a devoted partner, a gifted musician and a lover of God. He was a kind and gentle soul. He used his musical talent to spread God's glories through devotional song. He uplifted and inspired many with his enthusiasm and good will. We all miss him very much.
As part of Tim's beliefs, the final rites for one's ashes should be performed at the Ganges, a sacred river in India. Vrndavana and I (her mom) will be traveling to India with Tim's family in December to perform these rites. This will bring us together to honor him in the proper way, as well as bring catharsis to our hearts.
Our plan is to use your donations to cover as much of the travel costs as we can ($1600 for plane ticket), as well as food, lodging and other expenses while in India. Your donation will also help Vrndavana stay on in India for an extended time, to heal and perform pilgrimage in Tim's honor.
