Jenilee is a happy, beautiful, 27 year old young lady, that was born with a very rare immune deficiency condition called Hyper I.E. Syndrome (Job's Syndrome). She is also my daughter. This condition is so rare, that she was not diagnosed until she was 8 years old, and by that time, she had already lost big part of her right lung due to pneumonias and other bacterial infections that her body can't fight. By the time she started treatment her left lung had already become severely affected from lots of infections and even though she has been taking antibiotics everyday, little by little those little infections have been growing. This has now lead her to need a double lung transplant in order to be able to help her live a normal life with her six year old son and husband.
She is already on the lung transplant list, and we are now living in Pittsburgh waiting to get the call. Her insurance has already authorized her surgery and all the of the post surgery medical needs. But due to her current state, I have had to leave our home in Miami with her, and become her caregiver throughout this entire process, which will be about 2 years give or take depending on how well she does. Unfortunately, this does leave us in a bit of trouble, because I'm unable to work and care for my daughter, which means we are struggling financially at the moment.
So please helps us with our fundraising efforts, every little thing counts. We just need a little help with our living and transportation expenses (i.e. Rent, gas).
