<div>Ik ben Juli van Heerwaarden en samen met de hele familie gaan we op 24 mei fietsen voor Stichting Dalisay Recovery en het inloophuis Medemblik voor kanker. Eerlijk gezegd had ik voor dit spontane plan van Tijmen en mij nog nooit op een wielrenfiets gezeten dus de afgelopen maanden hebben we allemaal hard getraind. Het is niet voor iedereen haalbaar om de hele 160KM te fietsen maar iedereen doet mee, of het nou als supporter is in de teambus of als fietser. We gaan niet hard (komt voornamelijk door mij ;)) maar we gaan het zeker halen en dat is omdat we het samen doen.

<div>Dat is ook waarom dit doel zo belangrijk voor mij is. De afgelopen jaren heb ik geworsteld met een eetstoornis en bij veel instanties hulp gezocht maar niks werkte voor mij, totdat ik Patricia bij Dalisay recovery ontmoette. Ze was de enige waarbij ik me veilig en vertrouwd voelde en voor het eerst liet ik de hulp toe. Het was een moeilijke weg maar nu ben ik alweer een jaar in herstel en wat voelt dat goed! Dit had ik nooit durven dromen en ik gun dit iedereen die aan het worstelen is met eten, want wat is dat eenzaam en lastig.

<div>Wij zamelen geld in zodat Dalisay Recovery kan groeien en uitbreiden en daarmee hopelijk meer mensen bereikt die het hard nodig hebben. <div>Ook zamelen we geld in voor het inloophuis Medemblik, wat door de ouders van Patricia is opgestart. Hier kunnen mensen die leiden aan kanker of naasten met elkaar zijn om te praten en activiteiten te doen. Ook hier is dus de boodschap: je staat er niet alleen voor.
