16 Bars - The Musical

Almost three years ago I sat down to dinner with some cast mates. Among them was Teddy Anderson and Cameron Armstrong. We struck up a conversation about wanting to write a show together. A conversation that eventually deepened to wanting to write a show that would allow us to respond to the death Mike Brown and the feelings we were having about police criminality. Rather quickly, we wrote what became 16 BARS THE MUSICAL, a story about a teenage boy named Jared who happens to be deaf and the many lives he touches.

There is an opportunity on September 12th for us to work out new material from the show and put it in front of some industry eyes that can help us steer it to the next level.

We are looking to raise $2,000 by August 31st, to fly the 16BARS team to NY and to cover administrative expenses.
