Daimon Institute 2013 Documentary

Giftedness is a complex, discipline-transcendent phenomena. It is a way of being that encompasses the whole body and life; a way of experiencing the world, of perceiving, thinking, and creating that is fundamentally different from a more typical human experience.

For the first time in history we have access to all of the collected accumulated information about human consciousness and its potential (in which the concept of giftedness is nested). As our understanding of the complex relationships among mind, neuroscience, body/mind, spirit and culture evolves, so to our models of what constitutes giftedness must be accordingly flexible and yet rigorous.

The Integral Practice for the Gifted Model presented here embraces this challenge; we MUST continue to develop concepts and practices that reflect both the dynamism and complexity inherent in our most able learners. Using the IPG model we attend to all aspects of the gifted individual: intellectual, moral, emotional, physical and spiritual. At the core of the Exceptionally Gifted person is an unbounded desire to contribute and to change the world. With the right support and encouragement their potential is truly limitless.

We wish to make a (second) documentary on the Experience of Being Highly-Exceptionally-Profoundly Gifted. We are working with the same excellent film company that helped us produce the first 12 minute documentary. This one will be 30 minutes long : a high quality piece for international distribution on multiple media platforms.

We are commtited to helping the Exceptionally/Profoundly Gifted population with Educational Programming Support, Differential Diagnosis, ideas to balance all aspects of living, authentic Talent Development and all aspects of mental health and healthy, productive living. We wish to eduacte professionals and the public at large about the lived experience of being exceptionally bright, sensitive, talented, curious, intense and desirous of rich experience, meaning, communion and contribution.
