OUR HISTORY:

I Appolonia Cruz have been keeping "Bronx Pride Festival" Crotona Park in JULY alive since 2012 after its previous organizers Bronx Community Pride Center (BCPC) closed. Before BCPC closed, I served as their festival co-host for over 5 years when the festival was originally held at "Barretto Point Park". Then years later it moved to "Crotona Park" until "Bronx Community Pride Center" closed their doors forever in 2012.

After BCPC sadly shut their doors forever after moving to it's new location on Intervale Ave, We gathered with a small group of community members (With our original CoFounder & Former CoProducer Peter E. Frank + Rev.Carmen Hernandez) plus several others who shared the same passion as I & that was to keep Bronx Pride Festival alive and in #JULY. We planned Bronx Pride 2012 Festival within two weeks. I have continued to produce Bronx Pride Festival in #JULY at Crotona Park regardless and without financial support backing or funding from any Bronx political leaders or any major GLBTQIAS+ organizations after our main sponsor left us for another Bronx festival in 2018 - I have been producing the festival completely Solo since our second co-producer who replaced Peter E.Frank "Kevin O." also left in 2018. In 2019 NewYork Senator Sepulveda stepped to the plate & offered us assistance on both of Appolonia Cruz July summer LGBTQIS+ community events to this very day!.

Monies raised from this gofundme page will go directly to cover costs and list of expenses to make The 14th Annual Bronx Pride Festival & Health Fair in July at Crotona Park Amphitheater on Saturday, July19th,2025 possible. The funds raised will cover our DJ's + 4 legendary emcees hosting fees. Also truck rentals, and much needed new pop-up tents & tent's side covers that will be used as dressing rooms to house over 77 entertainers plus several guest speakers, plus a holding area for entertainers to wait before going on stage. Also a VIP Food tent, Monies will go to buy replacement tents, tables, chairs, fans, mirrors, garbage cans, ice, food, plates etc to better accommodate our guest entertainers who will be all donating their time & talents!...

The possible over flow of funds raised will cover our 2nd safe space community event of the week in July, Appolonia Cruz 12th Annual Christmas in July on Sat.July26th held at Barretto Point Park Amphitheater in the Bronx!.
