14 Little Red Huts

Holy Glasnost!!! Medicine Show Theatre Ensemble is invited to stage our production of "14 Little Red Huts" by Andrei Platonov at the International Platonov Arts Festival in Russia.

The International Platonov Arts Festival is providing us with an artistic fee as well as room and board for our entire cast and crew--11 persons in all......but....

......we need to get there. (And back!) Round trip cost is roughly $1200 for each member of our cast and crew.  And while our arms are strong and spirits high, we need help getting there.  (And back!) 
 
Given the current level of tension in the US-Russian relations, artistic exchange is a powerful way to demonstrate our peoples' shared commitment to peace and understanding.

Update 1:

A big thank you to all of our donors so far...! With your help, we are busy in rehearsal and prepping for our trip.  The big news is that 14 Little Red Huts has secured matching funds from a private donor.  Every dollar raised here on gofundme will be matched up to $5000!  Little by little, we are moving forward.

Plane tickets have been purchased thanks to your generosity.  We are waiting for our visas to arrive. Things are shaping up nicely, thank you! And if you are in town this Saturday May 25th, we are having an Opening Showing of our production. You are invited to join us, see our work, drink a little wine and share your feedback.  This Saturday May 25th at 7:30pm at the Medicine Show Theatre 549 W52nd Street, 3rd Floor.  We hope to see you then!
