Help Shannon on his Vision Quest!
My 6 year old son, Shannon, has been diagnosed with FEVR (Familial exudative vitreoretinopathy). FEVR is a disease of the retina causing many complications such as: Bleeding, retinal tears, holes or complete retinal detachment. Retinal detachment causes complete blindness. Shannon has been seeing a retina specialist here in Houston since May of this year. We have been getting conflicting opinions regarding his status and have decided we must get him to Detroit to see the only specialist in the country for FEVR. Please help us in this quest. If we make more than we need for trip expenses, co-pays and deductibles we will donate the remainder to a pediatric blindness charity of Shannon's choice. Thanks for visiting.
