My mom has had the Proton Therapy. And now she will be going to get fitted for a hearing aid in the next couple of weeks. http://www.umm.edu/ency/ My mom was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma, Acoustic neuroma is a non-cancerous tumor that develops on the nerve that connects the ear to the brain. The tumor usually grows slowly. As it grows, it presses against the hearing and balance nerves. At first, you may have no symptoms or mild symptoms. They can include Loss of hearing on one side Ringing in ears Dizziness and balance problems Facial Paralysis We have been fighting with the insurance company since January 26th of 2012. They have denied her time and time again for the procedures to take care of this tumor. |
