A Child Of Mine is registered charity 1152159, established after the death of our son Lewis from an agressive childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma in July 2010.
The goal of A Child Of Mine is to help, support and inform those who also suffer the loss of a child. We do this by connecting with parents and families through our leaflets and our online resource which offers practical information, guidance and support for anyone affected by the death of a child, at any age and any circumstance.
Our website has been self funded to date and we have only required minimal funds to print and post for our promotional leaflets for distribution to hospitals, hospices and healthcare professionals.
However, we now want to progress our organisation to the next level. We want to raise valuable funds to further meet our objectives, which are to support bereaved parents and ensure they have access to as much support and information as they need.
We aim to do this by upgrading and developing and upgrading our website. By providing financial assistance to bereaved parents/carers/guardians to help with appropriate emotional support and to also continue our work with healthcare professionals to improve bereavement care for parents.
