Help me Volunteer in Kenya!

It has always been my desire to travel to other lands to learn from their cultures and give back to those less fortunate. I am now fulfilling my dreams and wish for you to be a part of this amazing adventure. I need to raise funds for the supplies needed for my education program and supplies needed by my host family and the local community. Supplies needed range from paper to mosquito nets to water purification systems to prepared medical slides (I will be taking my microscope with me). I have many ideas for projects and supplies with use of my funds, but it has been suggested by my local program director, Joe Gichuki of Networks for Voluntary Services, that I wait to see exactly what my local community and host family are in need of. Upon returning to the States I will be posting exactly what supplies and services for which my funds have been utilized.

All the money raised here will go directly towards supplies for the local community; none will be utilized for my trip expenses. I have already purchased the program fees, flights, etc., and am currently saving for expenses while travelling. Every dollar is appreciated not only by me but also for the countless numbers of children it will benefit for time to come. My goal is to have all the money raised by September 9th. If I do not completely reach my goal of $750, your money will not be debited and I will receive none of the donations.
