Hi, my name is Lee the grandson of a much missed grandfather, Terry John Bowyer. Unfortunately my grandfather passed away earlier this year as he was unexpectedly taken from us by Cancer in April 2025.

He was my father figure and the most important man in my life. He was a kind soul and a true gentleman and losing him felt like losing a chapter of my history book, but what a glorious tale he used to tell. His birthday is approaching In July 2025 and I have set myself a challenge to complete “12 Challenges Across 12 Months” to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research in honour of his name.

Cancer Research UK is the world's leading charity dedicated to research on the causes, treatment and prevention of cancer. Thanks to research, more people are surviving cancer than ever before.

Cancer research involves scientific studies aimed at understanding, preventing, diagnosing, and treating cancer.

Raising money is essential to advancing cancer research with money raised helping towards the following : Funding scientific studies, supporting clinical trials, developing new treatments, buying technology and equipment, training future researchers, supporting the prevention and creating awareness and most importantly helping patients directly.

Therefore, from July 2025 - July 2026 I’ll be completing one charitable endeavour a month to raise as much money as possible for Cancer Research UK and will be starting with running 62 miles in the month of July.
