Surgery for Roxy the Pit Bull, Philadelphia
Hello, my name is Marlisa and I am the mother of Roxy (pictured above). Roxy is a beautiful Pit/Boxer mix. I rescued her in 2005 at the age of 3 months old from the Philadelphia Animal Care and Control Team in Philadelphia. On August 26th of this year Roxy injured herself while she was running around having a fun time. After seeing our regular vet twice over the past several weeks he recommended seeing a specialist. After visiting the specialist we found out that Roxy tore her ACL and will need surgery to repair the tare. This surgery is approximately $4,100 plus the cost of medication and possible physical therapy afterwards. I alone cannot afford the surgery. Even with the help of friends and family it is still beyond my savings.
If my donations go past the amount needed for surgery and rehabilitation I will donate to one of the local animal shelters in Roxy's name.
