The Church of Naranjo Dulce

Three years ago our mother decided she wanted to spearhead the initiative of building a new church for the people of Naranjo Dulce in the Dominican Republic. This came from a sense of gratitude for the very blessed life she\'s lived, indebtedness to the place she will always call home, and the wish to give hope to those less fortunate than us. 

For the last 3 years she has made tremendous strides, with much effort, in raising funds for the building of this church and is solely dedicated to this cause. As you can see from the linked photo, 3 years in construction, the church is well underway, but desperately needs more funding and support to hopefully see it finalized. 

There are several phases of the project remaining which also happen to be the most costly. To name a few, laying of the floors, making and installation of the doors and windows, lighting and electric, pews, altar stand, and the stations of the cross. 

This calling started with the strong will and devotion of our mother, but is going to take the generosity and cooperation of us all. Contributions have already been made by many family members and friends for which we are very thankful.
