10th Graded English Charity Pitch Project

My 10th grade English students will apply what they learned from our most recent book by researching nonprofits in Denver, then making a pitch for the one that they feel is most deserving of donations. Students will get to vote on all of the pitches in order to determine the Top 3, and then there will be a public poll, with the winning students having real funds donated to their nonprofit of choice in their name.

Donating to our go fund me will not only help a deserving charity, it will also help empower my students! Hearing that pledges and donations have already been made would be a huge motivator for my students-- it’s not often they get to see that their work will have a real, tangible outcome!
