It’s that time of year again!

We are gearing up to celebrate the 10th Annual Youth Art, Poetry & Justice SLAM on November 6, 2020. We know this year has not been the easiest between the global pandemic and the ongoing fight for racial justice in our society and communities. This makes the timing of this year's Slam all the more important as our young people continue to force our society to change while fighting for their voices to be heard. The event is hosted by the Art Poetry and Justice (APJ) Committee, a community of youth, teachers, activists, local artists, and community organizations taking the direction and leadership of youth and young artists in solidarity with Youth Justice Action Month in October. Each year, high school and college-aged youth share their visual and performing arts skills, while competing for cash prizes at the free and public event.

Over the years, the APJ Committee has organically sustained itself and has had the ability to provide incentives to participants while engaging families and communities. We believe in encouraging a creative space for youth and young artists to govern while expressing their lived experiences and social justice issues that impact their communities. While we will be going virtual, the need for this space is still urgent.

We would like your assistance in making this year an even bigger success and request your sponsorship. Through this partnership, we hope to build a relationship that continues to grow as we look to support the leadership of youth through cultural arts while strengthening the communities they live in.

Below are recommended sponsorship levels of support. If you have any questions/comments please  let us know. We request that all sponsorships be received by November 5, 2020.

Thank you for your consideration.

In Solidarity,

APJC
