Yosakoi Dance Project - 10tecomai (tentecomai) is a New York City based Dance Company which has been performing the Japanese dance style of “Yosakoi”  since 2005  across the United States.

Yosakoi, a dance style which originated in Japan over 60 years ago  is a wonderful fusion of traditional Japanese movements/music with movements from other cultures and genres of performance. It’s highly energetic, uplifting and positive style of dance resonates with audiences of every age and culture. 

We have been proud to be among the few teams in the United States to perform and teach others about this amazing style of Japanese dance! In recent times  we have started performing with other Yosakoi teams across the United States including Kansas California as the style has grown and is now starting to reach communities across the States.

During this time of crisis due to the coronavirus,  new difficulties have arisen in terms of performing and giving workshops necessary for continued operation of our company.  We are asking for any help with funding so that we may be able to continue to operate now and when the crisis is over and we are able to perform once again in person.

The costs that the funding will help include:

Promotion (Digital online and promotional materials)
New Content (Dance/music) creation
Costumes/props and Company Flags
Workshop/Class hosting online
Future event - Hosting our own Show (venue rental and production costs).
