Welcome to the #10ForChangeChallenge African-American Scholarships Christmas Crowdfunding Campaign
The Mission of the #10ForChangeChallenge is to provide funded Learning Pathways, Employment Opportunities and Better Economic Outcomes, while truly EMPOWERING Financially Disadvantaged African-Americans towards a better future.
Our Goal is to raise $2.6 million dollars and to Create 1000 Full-Tuition African-American Scholarships. However, WE NEED YOUR HELP to get this done and create the 1000 African-American Scholarships each worth $2600.
OUR INSPIRATION: From advanced-degree holders to high-school dropouts, Black workers have substantially higher unemployment rates at every level of educational attainment than white workers—and the disparity has widened this year during the economic downturn caused by the coronavirus pandemic and related shutdowns.
The expanding gap signals Black Americans can expect to have a longer and slower recovery from the 2020 economic recession, regardless of whether they have attended college or not completed high school (Source - Disparity in Jobless Rates Suggests Black Workers Face Slower Recovery in the Wall Street Journal by Eric Morath November 29, 2020).
IT'S TIME TO MAKE A STAND AND TO TAKE ACTION TO ADDRESS RACIAL INEQUALITY AND DISADVANTAGE
Recent political events in the US and #BlackLivesMatter have created the perfect timing for us to join together and help create change for African-Americans.
We know from Black Lives Matter that when a lot of people create a ripple…that a movement can become a tidal wave…and that’s why we need your help to contribute to our campaign and to share this story with as many Americans as possible.
HOW DO I GET INVOLVED IN THE #10FORCHANGECHALLENGE?
We would invite you to donate $10 or more if you can…..and then share your challenge and our GoFundMe Page Link on Social Media to 10 of your friends, family members, or work colleagues to match…or even beat your donation. If you would like to donate a larger amount to this cause you can do so anonymously if you wish.
In helping us to achieve our Crowdfunding Campaign Goal…you will help us to be able to provide an amazing Christmas present to so many deserving African-Americans in the form of one of our African-American Scholarships.
In addition to contributing to such a great cause, we want to invite you to take part in some of the rewards that we are offering as part of the #10ForChangeChallenge.
You or your work team can join in the fun and capture the spirit by getting creative with your own #10ForChangeChallenge Challenge Viral Video and the Hashtag - #10ForChangeChallenge. Thereby we invite you or your business team members to create your own Viral Video to share on our 10ForChangeChallenge Facebook Page. There are 10 Prizes to be won of $1000 and the Winning Video will get $2000 for the most inspirational, moving, or funniest video.
We will feature the best videos on our 10ForChangeChallenge Facebook and our BlackMyBusiness Instagram and you can get on board by liking your favorite videos....so stay dialed in with us on our Socials for all the fun, excitement and prize announcements.
WHAT WILL THE FUNDS BE USED FOR?
Our goal is to raise $2.6 Million and to fund 1000 African-American Scholarships for our Students to commence studying on Monday 25th January 2021. However, the more money we raise the more African-American Scholarships we can offer.
Each scholarship is valued at $2600 and includes:
1. A full One-year Course Instruction with our educational partner Simplilearn.
2. An Opportunity to participate in a Black Mentoring Program with successful entrepreneurs and business owners
3. Access to a Career Counselling Program to help Graduates to become "Job-Ready"
4. Financial Education and Assistance Program to help create Financial Security and Independence.
We believe that such a scholarship program is truly ground-breaking, by helping each student to make a successful transition from Education to meaningful Employment.
WHO CAN I APPLY FOR A BLACK MY BUSINESS SCHOLARSHIP?
We would like to invite any African-American over the age of 18 to apply for one of these 1000 Full-ride Scholarship positions. We will offer preference to applicants who are financially disadvantaged or have a life circumstance that would make a traditional College Scholarship harder to obtain.
In Year 1 of we will offer 1000 full-ride scholarships to students in the field of Digital Marketing Specialist with our Educational Partner – SimpliLearn.
