Help us celebrate, educate, and empower 2,500 extraordinary young women of color from around the world at the 1st International Slumber Party!

OUR STORY

Too often, women of color are pitted against one another and made to look at one another as competitors because that is what the media tells them. When women of color come together and decide to share their greatness, they are powerful beyond measure.  The International Slumber Party is a one-of-a-kind virtual reality, 2D conference taking place in every time zone around the globe on July 31, 2021, designed to foster a narrative that validates, empowers, and elevates the global life experience of talented young women of color, aged 18-24, who are emerging leaders with great potential.

Our enlightening virtual conference will have our vigorous young women partaking in virtual rooms that will cover themes such as:

- Women's Empowerment
- Mind, Body, and Soul Health
- Business & Leadership
- Arts & Entertainment
- Fashion & Beauty
- Love & Relationships

WHY IS THE INTERNATIONAL SLUMBER PARTY IMPORTANT TO YOUNG WOMEN OF COLOR?

Many cultural and social movements of today focus heavily on the plight of black men and boys, and rightfully so!  But our girls also deserve the chance to shine! At the International Slumber Party, we shine a bright light on the specific issues, interests, and matters of the heart of young black women that often go overlooked or pushed to the side.

Hosted by Sister Diamonds  co-CEOs, Crystal Khalil and Dr. Nicole LaBeach, the International Slumber Party, aims to make sure that young women of color, are able to:

- See their brilliance and have the platform for them to feel what we see.
- Reinforce their personal power and help them manifest personal purpose.
- Create opportunities for themselves to play, laugh, build trust, and experience emotional freedom.
- Be their brand ambassador for their practice of greater self-compassion, self-love, and self-acceptance.

Our communities, cities, and nations are strengthened when we invest in the present and future of young women of color. Our intention is for every black girl to leave ISP empowered, with a network of potential mentors, sponsors, and new sister connections with like-minded women of color from around the world.

LAST YEAR'S SUCCESS!

In 2020, the International Slumber Party was fortunate enough to receive a total of 6,940 views from 39 countries including Nigeria, South Africa, Brazil, Trinidad &Tobago, Liberia, and Somalia (to name a few), with 96% of attendees stating that the event had MET or EXCEEDED their expectations.

In 2021,  ISP plans on increasing its participation to 50 countries with a total of 10,000 event views by introducing more global speakers from around the world and tackling more global issues that all our attendees can relate to.

HOW WILL THE FUNDS RAISED BE USED?

Our goal is to raise $350K so that we can eliminate any cost barriers for young women who need to attend this virtual conference but may not have the means to do so.  ISP wants to give 3,500 black girls from ages 18-24, in universities, grad schools, or recent graduates the opportunity to learn from people who have gone through similar situations as them, be empowered by them, and give scholarships to attend the event.
