"10 Days Without You"
Four strangers (all early 20s) take a road trip from south of California (LA) to Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, and back to LA in 10 days without their phones/laptops/etc. Their journey is filmed in an experimental style (completely unscripted) depicting their tech-free escape.
Human interactions and the idea of touch has become bloated and somewhat extinct. This matter became apparent to me when I was catching up with an old friend at a coffeeshop sometime in December of 2017. I hadn’t seen this girl in over a year. Every other sentence exchanged between us was interrupted by her phone notifications and a half-real apology: “sorry I have to check this”. The date ended with a number of selfies that I didn’t want to take to begin. Her version of a goodbye was wrapping her arms around my body for half a second lets call what she did a “hug” and a wave in her car as she drove away with her window rolled up and her shades on. This hangout left me thinking its time to bring awareness to our world of how dangerous this extinction has the potential of being. I began writing down the beginning middle and end to “10 Days Without You”.

Our goal:
We want to bring conciousness to a decrease in phone use so people are reminded that life is about being in the present moment. I myself am highly attached to my phone, and believe the relevancy today for many people suffering from this exact addiction. Thus, we're beyond grateful for any contribution that will help bring this project to life. Our objective is to spread this message worldwide in hopes of putting an end to this ongoing problem.
