100 MILE RUN FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T!!!

Donation protected
Our father, a US Army veteran, has been stricken with Adult Onset Muscular Dystrpohy.  The diagnosis in 2013 was a shock for us all and the decline in our father's physical condition has been swift.  With a lot of love, and a healthy dose of humor, we have been trying to adjust to life with a parent permanently wheelchair-bound. Unfortunately, our biggest obstacle is their home - it is not wheelchair accessible and it creates daily stress and hard work for our mother, his primary caregiver.  As a result of their fixed-income, and ever increasing medical expenses, our parents have exhausted all their savings.   Dealing with the VA has also been a nightmare! This is where we need your help and support!

Your contributons will:
*Create a safe and accessible bathroom - Our mother bathes him by hand daily!
*Replace carpet throughout the home with wheelchair friendly floooring.  Our mother has to use a lift to get our father in and out of his wheelchair and bed and the carpet makes a tough job even harder!
*Pay for mobile ramp(s) so our father can visit our local homes.  Because of his limited mobility and our varying degrees of stairs and entrances, our dad hasn't been in anyone else's home since he became wheelchair bound.
*Provide assisted care for a few hours a week so our mother can have some much needed help!

Their eldest son, George, an avid runner and OCR warrior, is supporting the campaign by running a 24 hour race April 28th and 29th in Hampton, VA, with a goal of 100 MILES to raise awareness for Muscular Dystrophy research and wounded veterans.
He is challenging himself to run 100 miles in a day!
10% of ALL the $ raised will go to  https://combatwoundcoalition.org/
which is founded and run by retired Navy SEAL LT. Jay Redman.  The Combat Wounded Coalition's Vision is to Ensure Every Wounded Warrior Realizes Their Full Potential.  Even if you are unable to donate to our Go Fund Me campaign, please support George in his training by sharing this page with your friends and family!
