100k In A Day

The Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund has been donating life-saving defibrillators in the memory of fallen Law Enforcement, Fire, Paramedic and Military members since 2009. To date, the Fund has donated 124 defibrillators, three of which were used to successfully save three lives!

Dave Mounsey was a Provincial Constable with the Ontario Provincial Police who was killed in the line of duty in 2006. Before his death, Dave and his partner, Brenda, were instrumental in the fundraising for a defibrillator for the Blyth Fire Department; of which Dave was also a volunteer member. 

With the restrictions due to COVID, the Fund has not been able to host its two main fundraisers; Run Around the Square and Dancing With The Stars of 911. These two events were instrumental in the Fund's ability to purchase and donate these live-saving devices. 

With that in mind, the founders of the Dave Mounsey Memorial Fund, Patrick Armstrong and Dave Matheson, are taking to foot to cover 100k in a day! Yes, in an effort to raise $7,500; these two are going to jog, walk and crawl 100 kilometers in 24 hours! From London to Wingham all to raise the money to keep donating defibrillators.
