100 Together This September for Bila Muuji
Thank you for helping us support Bila Muuji in our 100 Together This September at Expedia Group!
This month of September - a group of our employees and their families will be committing to Walk/run/cycle/swim 100km or knit 100cm of scarf within the month, some employees committing to more up to 1000km!
Why? We are fundraising for Bila Muuji Aboriginal Corporate Health Service based in Dubbo, to assist them in helping their community navigate, protect, and recover from the current outbreak in Western NSW. Using the power of our social circles to raise awareness and funding. Our efforts will help them with remote supply shortages of items like PPE, food & water hampers, and will also supplement other community providers with extra resources during this time.
Below is a message from the Bila Muuji CEO, Carl Grant:
"As most of you would know by now, our First Nations mob in Dubbo and surrounding communities have been hit hard by Covid-19. But we’re not giving up. Our community has come together to support those mob who need our help. Both government and non-government agencies are supporting First Nations people across our region.
Bila Muuji, meaning ‘river friends’, was formed in 1995 as a not-for-profit member-based regional body to identify and address shared issues impacting health and social needs of Aboriginal communities in Western NSW. Our members provide services around health promotion, disease prevention, substance misuse, men’s and women’s health, children and aged health, mental health, clinical and disability, dental as well as addressing the issue of poverty within our first nations communities.
Thank you, Expedia Group, for thinking of us as part of your fund-raising efforts.
Carl Grant
CEO, Bila Muuji Aboriginal Corporation Health Service"
Thanks again!
