100 Miles in May for Mind

This May I will be running 100 miles and aiming to raise a minimum of £500 for Mind in the spirit of the upcoming Mental Health Awareness week (18th-24th May).
One message I want to get across is that ITS OKAY NOT TO BE OKAY. Anyone who is ever struggling, please don’t hide it. There are charities out there like MIND that are there to help. If anyone ever wants a chat my door is always open as well. A lot of people who aren’t affected by mental illness don’t know what it’s like and don’t know how to help. I’m hoping to spread awareness so they can help those close to them who do suffer from it.
For over 30 years, Mind Rochdale and District have been providing mental health services for people living in the Borough of Rochdale (including local hospitals and in the community). 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year, and with the current pandemic of Covid-19, many more are now likely to feel the effects also.
They are a local charity and membership organisation, who provide a range of services to support people with mental health and wellbeing issues. The charity are focused on wellbeing and recovery, and supporting people to lead fulfilling lives.
Throughout the current lockdown measures they are still operating to the best of their abilities at their own homes through digital means.
Mind Rochdale have achieved the highest level rating from National Mind for our quality standards and are a recognised Disability Confident Employer.
