100 Miles Closer to a Cure

Hi! My name is Andrew, and though I'm a relatively new runner, I am going to run 100 miles during the month of October, to benefit The Cure Starts Now in honor of my 8-year-old niece, Addison.  In March 2019, Addison was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma), an aggressive form of brain cancer that most often affects kids between the ages of 5 and 9. With an average life expectancy of around 9 months post-diagnosis, DIPG is fast-moving and currently untreatable. The sobering stats don't stop the folks at The Cure Stops Now from their tireless work in fighting against pediatric brain cancer. Not only does the organization raise awareness and fund numerous research grants and initiatives, but they also provide invaluable one-on-one support for kids like Addison and their families, giving hope and knowledge and assistance to people in inconceivable situations.   Any donation you can give will help The Cure Starts Now to make an impact. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me and my family. As I said, I will be running 100 miles over the course of October (a little over 5K a day). You can follow along with my progress on Instagram at 100 Miles Closer to a Cure For updates on Addison, visit my sister-in-law Heidi's Facebook page.
