Mountain Bike Challenge for I'm All Ears
Hi there my name is Jamie. I'm 14 years old and setting myself the challenge of clocking up over a 100 cross -country miles in the month of July (whilst I'm still at school!) to raise much needed funds for I'm All Ears.
I'm All Ears provide a free listening/counselling service for all ages in our local area of Haslemere/Hindhead/Farnham/Bordon. They aim to provide easy and quick access to counselling for all those who need support with their mental health and well-being. They (and I) passionately believe that the immediate availability of a trained ear when it is needed most is vital in terms of preventing escalation of mental health problems. If I or someone close to me needed support I would want immediate help rather than red tape and waiting lists and that's what I'm All Ears is all about.
We are in the midst of a mental health crisis and many are suffering in silence because they feel they have no-where to turn to for help. Please sponsor me so we can help make sure there is always someone to turn to, right here in our own community.
Every penny raised will go directly to providing and publicising the services of I'm All Ears in our local area.
I'm All Ears are currently operating as a Community Interest Company (Co. No. 12550928) whilst they work towards gaining charitable status.
They receive no government funding and rely entirely on grants and donations to operate. In the last year demand for their service more than doubled and they provided over 1177 hours of counselling to local people. They expect the demand this year to be even higher.
Please sponsor me today and together we can make sure I'm All Ears can continue it's vital role in our community.
Thank you - your support will make a real difference and will make all my hard work on the bike seem worth it!
