<div><strong>A decade fighting for the truth--and you’ve made it possible! (see below for English version)</strong>
</div>

</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/83951815_1733430510681211_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>

</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div>Cámara de video $35000.00
</div>
<div>Dron para grabaciones aéreas $13000.00
</div>
</div>
<div>Micrófono XLR direccional $4000.00
</div>
<div>Micrófono lavalier $4000.00
</div>
<div>2+ discos duros de 8TB $3000.00
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/83951815_1733430542615484_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>

<div><strong>Ten Years of Autonomous Journalism: Help Us Continue!</strong>
</div>
<div><strong>A decade fighting for the truth--and you’ve made it possible!</strong>
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As 2024 comes to a close, we're celebrating ten years of independent journalism challenging mainstream narratives. Since the beginning we’ve worked tirelessly to reveal the reality behind the politics and projects that benefit big capitalists at the expense of Indigenous, Black, farming, and fishing communities.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/83951815_1734121797616356_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Ten years of journalism in defense of our planet, against the corporate interests trying to maximize profits regardless of irreversible ecological damage being. A decade building bridges with those who struggle to protect Mother Earth.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Everything we publish at Avispa Midia is free and accessible to all. We believe that journalism is a social responsibility and belongs to everyone. Thanks to the solidarity and support of our readers and other collectives, we've been able to maintain this independent project up to the present. And today, to continue, we need your support.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We are launching this crowdfunding campaign to finance four research projects that don’t have funding and require time and effort. These are the main topics we are going to be working on in 2025:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>*Increasing violence in Chiapas: we will analyze the causes and the interests behind the increase in violence along Mexico's southern border.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/83951815_1734121819738525_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>*Infrastructure projects in Mexican territory that will be used to export gas and petroleum products from the US: we will investigate how Mexico is becoming a bridge for the exportation of energy products from the United States to markets in Europe and Asia.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>*Environmental conflicts in southern and southeastern Mexico: we will document how global economic reorganization is generating environmental conflicts, threatening ecosystems and communities.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>*Collective lands at risk: We will investigate the strategies being used to privatize collectively owned land for incorporation into the market.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Why is all this relevant? These investigations are more than just information; they are calls to action. In a context where traditional media silences the most vulnerable voices, your support is essential to amplify them and support the defense of communal lands and territories.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>As a collective that depends on contributions like yours to keep the lights on, we believe in transparency. This work requires specific gear, all of which we choose and use carefully. Your donation will help us afford the following concrete, material purchases, which we need to be able to keep producing the quality of work we pride ourselves in:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Video editing computer: $2500-$5000 USD
</div>
<div>Video camera: $1750
</div>
<div>Videography drone: $600
</div>
<div>Audio kit for podcast (3 recording mics, USB mixer): $550
</div>
<div>Directional XLR mic: $200
</div>
<div>Lapel mic: $200
</div>
<div>2+ 8-TB hard drives: $150 each
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Apart from these purchases, we need to keep up with basic operating costs--and it costs money to travel to the remote communities whose voices we work to amplify.
</div>
<div><br />
</div><img alt="" media_type="3" src="https://d2g8igdw686xgo.cloudfront.net/83951815_1734121874644830_r.jpeg" width="100%" />
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We invite you to be part of this ten-year anniversary celebration of resistance media. With your contribution, we'll be able to conduct this research and continue documenting the realities that corporations and governments work so hard to hide. Each donation, regardless of the amount, helps make autonomous, independent journalism possible.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Over the last decade we've demonstrated that walking toward truth and justice is possible when communities are united. Help us continue this work. Together we can make an impact!
