$5 Movie Fundraiser

$5 Movie…..

So this week my husband and his writing partner had a fundraiser to make a movie they have been working on for some time now called Speakeasy. It was amazing to see the support of friends and people we consider family, everyone involved (actors, costume designers, etc) are so excited about this project.

Of course it would be amazing to find someone who really believed in the project and donated a large sum of money to make it happen. One of the people involved said it would be even more amazing to find 20,000 people to believe in this and donate a $5. For some reason this blew my mind and I could not stop thinking about this…….so here is the ask for anyone that sees this.

First, would you consider donating $5 to this film? Yes I am serious when I say no more than $5.

Second, and more importantly, would you please share this with every person you know on social media to see if they would do the same? We all love and benefit from art in all forms (music, movies, museums).

This is an incredibly painless way to support art and everything that goes into it in Ohio. I also think this is kind of a crazy incredible experiment to put social media to good use. So please share even if you can’t donate the $5.
