'I Am Loved' mental health care packages
My name is Lucy, I am 20 years old and live in the UK.
I developed mental health issues when I was 13 years old that reached a crisis point when I was 15. The years that followed were the worst of my life filled with uncertainty, despair and the constant feeling of being alone in my struggle.
I now, thankfully, have control over my mental health and am in recovery - but I wanted to find a way to give back and help other people just like me.
Mental illness is a very isolating and lonely struggle, that can often feel completely out of control and hopeless.
The purpose of I Am Loved is to send free care packages to anyone who is struggling with their mental health, in the hopes that a gift containing numerous items catered to their recovery will allow people to feel comforted and know that they are never alone.
I am hoping to not only send my boxes to people suffering at home but also to places of treatment, hospitals and rehabilitation centres.
I plan for the boxes to include items such as:
- sensory/fidget toys
- colouring books
- arts and crafts
- mental health information
- crisis support
- first aid supplies
- comfort items
and more!
Each box will be personalised to the individual who has asked for it.
However, I am a student at university and am also setting up this project alone. As this is a charity, I will not be making any money - every penny will go towards supplies for the parcels and packaging!
This project is brand new and I now need your help in getting it up and running!
Please share and promote this page and donate to support this cause! I hope to start sending out packages as soon as possible
There will be more information coming soon on my instagram @iamlovedparcels and on my facebook page as well :)
Thank you so much for your support⭐️
